Marcia Rothschild

I was always active and trying different sports growing up but as a working mom with young kids, it became hard to find the time to try something else besides running. I always wanted to "try a tri" and once my kids grew up a bit, I started following a sprint training program and finally signed up for my first sprint race in 2013, Iron Girl Sandy Hook. Me and my mountain bike had a blast and I was officially "hooked"! I met Andrea a few months later and she started coaching me. This sport has become essential in my life, for physical and psychological well being. I also met wonderful people in the process who motivate, support and provide advice. I still have a lot to learn and to improve and have found it is a very supportive community, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned Ironman, I found everyone is eager to help and see you succeed.

My main struggle continues to be time management and fitting in the training around everything that I have going on, especially working in sales and with frequent business trips. What I love about Andrea and her coaching style is that she is flexible, realistic and extremely supportive. She understands where I come from, the demands of my life and is my voice of reason. I always felt 100% prepared at every start line because of her.
