Main Focus:  My best discipline is the bike though I enjoy all three pretty equally. If given the choice between swimming, biking or running, I would likely choose running because of the simplicity.

Bucket List:   Kona

Post Race Drink:  HumaPro

Off day activity:  Hanging with the girls, Celia (5) and Emmy (11 months)

I got into triathlon in 2012. I had been working with a personal trainer after hitting rock bottom physically. I weighed 219 lbs at my heaviest. I trained all summer, riding my hybrid bike, swimming laps in the town pool and running in the park to compete in the Town of Huntington sprint triathlon. Even before the race, I loved the idea of being a "triathlete." It just seemed so much cooler to do three sports at a time instead of just one. Little did I know after my first sprint tri in September of 2012 that less than three years later, I would be completing an Ironman. It's been quite a journey. While my two Ironman finishes are definitely the main highlights of my tri career, I find that some of my best memories are the epic workouts I've done - both group workouts and some solo jaunts like an 80 mile bike from Hampton Bays to Montauk followed by a 12 mile run or one of my many solo rides up at Harriman State Park. These days, my family and work have taken up much of the time I used to dedicate to training, but triathlon is in my blood and before long I will be suiting up in the Ohana kit, taking on my next challenge.
